Why do I feel depressed during the day but happy at night?

If you reflect on your own life, somewhere that depression began and you just keep living it out, not knowing that you were a slave to your mind.

What time do you normally wake up in the morning? Have you found that even after a late night, you still wake up at the same time?

What about food – what time do you normally eat lunch every day? Is there something inside of you that says “it’s lunch time yaaaaaaaaaay!”?

People know this as a “body clock”.

And then what about driving? You had to really concentrate to begin with, but now you can get from A to B and realize the whole time you didn’t think once about the road and you were lost in your mind somewhere, right?

The brain takes the path of least resistance – it wants to conserve energy.

Your depressive cycles are exactly the same.

We all live according to whatever we have in our mind, whether we want to or not. It’s just the way it is.

Somewhere in your life, you started to experience depressive episodes during the day and your mind has programmed this into your subconscious. And so it starts doing all the things it had done in the past because it’s became a habit which is ingrained in your cells.

I used to suffer huge bouts of depression on Sundays because I would take a lot of drugs on a Saturday night and the following day is called a “come down”. What goes up, comes down.

Even when I stopped taking drugs, for many years I was suffering with this cyclical depression.

I was able to escape from that pattern by recognizing it, and then reflecting on those experiences in my past, and discarding those feelings, thoughts, emotions and memories from my body and mind.

If you reflect on your own life, somewhere that depression began and you just keep living it out, not knowing that you were a slave to your mind.

But now you know 🙂
