As time goes by, one-person media is increasing. They share their thoughts, give benefits to others, and succeed at it. Recently, I’ve also become interested in social media like blogs and YouTube. By doing that, this kind of thinking starts to come up.

‘What if I fail? What if it is wasting my time?’
‘What if it’s not suitable for me?’
Doubts and anxieties flashed across my mind. If I keep believing these thoughts, I’ll never start social media.

First, if you want to improve yourself and achieve your goals, it’s important to understand what makes me not improve. For me, action is hindered most by my thoughts and anxiety.

  • Behavioral pattern:
    Anxiety -> Decrease in one’s act -> No result -> No result and no action lead to more anxiety

I used to repeat this pattern. Too many anxieties slow one’s improvement.

Let me share some tips to reduce anxiety and work on self-improvement.

  • Have the courage to decide what I will do and give up the rest. It is impossible to do everything. Because it takes time to get results after starting work. If there are too many things to do in your mind, you can be distracted by everything. Identify the priority of the tasks and focus on them according to the order.
  • Build up the strength of our minds to focus on one thing. Once you have decided what to do, stick to it regardless of whether it works or not. Don’t let your thoughts lead you to give up. No one can’t do well at first. When you’re immersed in one thing, your mind generates creative ideas and abilities. 
  • Meditate to let go of the mind. Meditation is my greatest tool for sustaining my next action rather than giving up on my thoughts in the middle. The more I discard, the easier it is to act. I’m discarding anxieties about starting social media when I meditate. As I discarded, anxiety and doubts faded away. Now I started to set a plan for my blog instead of worrying without taking action.
